Pipe Blocks & Split Shells
Pipe support blocks come in three main types, phenolic blocks, rockwool blocks and hardwood blocks. Pipe support blocks provide optimal load bearing capacity whilst offering protection for both the clamp and pipe. Read more

Designed for use in pipe supports, hanger brackets and clamps, these blocks will support the compressive loads imposed by horizontal pipework carrying water or other liquids. Foil covered phenolic blocks offer a very low thermal conductivity which does not degrade significantly over time providing it isn’t damaged. Available from 15mm to 50mm thicknesses, designed to fit most standard pipe diameters from 15mm up to 273mm (not all pipe sizes available for all thickness options). Foil covered rockwool blocks have a superior fire classification as they are manufactured from high density mineral wool that is non-combustible and are suitable for use with pipework temperatures up to 250°C. If superior insulation is not a specific requirement then hardwood blocks are also available in a range of thicknesses for most standard pipe diameters. For those concerned with ethical issues, these can also be supplied from certified sustainable wood source. Calcium blocks offer exceptional thermal efficiency on hot process applications. Split shells provide protection for pipe blocks to prevent crushing when a pipe clamp is fixed to the pipe block.
